Annual WRX Vs Evo Day - Eastern Creek Raceway

Last Sunday was the Annual WRX Vs Evo Day where the best WRX's, STi's and Evo's from NSW and QLD compete in an all out battle to see who is the best marque of the two.

With rain and other incidents shortning the day, we only managed to get in about 10 fast laps instead of the anticipated 30-40. However, with our STi at only its second event, managed a respectable 11th out of 69 starters with a best lap of 1:47.32.

Our reliability stood out once again with brake fade being the only real issue on the day - we will be upgrading to a racing pad due to the high speed nature of the circuit and the car. Check out the pic below of our Brake Rotors at over 1,000 Degrees!

Unfortunately for team WRX, we lost on the day with the average times from the Evo camp being better than ours. Congratulations to Phil Bunter for getting into the 1:44's and also Terry Turner for organsing such a good day. For all the final results, please visit the Natsoft Website.

Round 2 of the NSW Supersprint Series is again at Eastern Creek in 2 weeks time - stay tuned.

Round 1 - Oran Park Raceway

Sunday 2nd March saw Round 1 of the NSW Supersprint Series - thank god the rain stayed away this time. Our STi finally had a chance the stretch its new legs and Anthony was able to manage a 1:18.38 only being beaten by Hadrian Morral with the best time of the day - 1:18.33 - well done Hadrian. Andy Edmonson also posted a 1:18.45 and is worthy of mention. One of our clients Sid also ran well posting a 1:26.06 for his first ever event and placed 5th in the Semi Slick Class.

Our STi is running very well, and has proven to have the 'grunt' factor on the track, and with Anthony behind the wheel, we should see some consistent results throughout the year. The car requires some further fine tuning to the suspension and engine mapping but these should be ready for the next event at Eastern Creek in April.
